The thought of drinking from a cup in which you have a huge spider is disgusting, but on Cambodian man doesn’t seem to mind it, in fact he enjoys it.This cocktail, a nightmare for those who are afraid of spiders, consists of rice wine, fresh fruit and of course tarantulas. Many Cambodians believe that tarantulas act as an aphrodisiac and that they improve heart function.
Spiders have been traded as food in Cambodia, especially in mid 1970's. Just recently tourists got a chance to see how they hunt these spiders in the nearby villages.
