1. Tenerife

Over 5 million tourists visit Tenerife each year, making them the largest resort in the world. This Spanish island is located in the Atlantic Ocean some 125 miles from the African coast. This island has an area of 785 square miles and one million inhabitants live there. It is the only Spanish island with two airports which are necessary to ensure the smooth transportation of tourists. This famous island is also called “The Island of Eternal Spring" because of its pleasant temperatures ranging between 71 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. Almost half the island is protected and preserved. The island has two "country parks" (Anaga and Teno), four nature reserves, six special nature parks, a total of fourteen national monuments, nine protected natural habitats and 6 places of special scientific interest.

2. Seychelles

Republic of Seychelles is an island country in the Indian Ocean consisting of 11 islands. This tropical island offers an ideal climate all year round, but summer is surely the best time if you want to enjoy yourself the most. Bird watching, sailing, surfing, hiking and scuba diving are just a small part of what Seychelles can give you. This group of islands is located about 930 miles east of the coast of Africa and northeast of Madagascar.

3. Maldives

Maldives are a group of 1000 islands which offer a great summer adventure and a place to rest. But only 200 of them are inhabited although there are so many of them. The islands are not suitable for life because they are just above sea level. Coral islands offer a very convenient place for diving, with white beaches and friendly inhabitants.

4. Fiji

Fiji Islands are located at 1,240 miles northeast of New Zealand. There are 332 islands and more than a hundred are uninhabited. 87% of the population lives on two main islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. These peaceful and welcoming islands are located far from the rest of the world, and there are still islands where no human foot has ever stepped. New resorts have recently been opened on the remote islands of Fiji and they will make your holiday more interesting and memorable. In Fiji, there are two airports near the cities of Nadi and Suva.

5. Big Island of Hawaii

Hawaii consists of more than a thousand islands, but the most famous is the Big Island (also known as Island of Hawaii). It offers the best conditions for adventure tourism and surfing. This place is known for its great natural beauty. If you are doing research in Hawaii, the best place is the Volcanoes National Park which consists of many volcanoes and waterfalls. The island has two commercial airports - International Airport and Hilo International Airport.
