Throughout the world there are many unsolved mysteries. Scientists and geologists investigate them and people love to hear about them. One of them has been recently discovered. These are the ruins of outlet in Japan. In 1995 one diver in Okinawa accidentally stumbled upon something that resembled the remains of some buildings. The whole world was astonished. There are many theories and speculation about their origin. It is believed that these are the remains of the lost civilization of Mu which is often mentioned in legends, and the place should be called (according to the legend) the Homeland of civilization.
These ruins are so deep in the water, that someone might think that maybe there was an underwater city in that place. It is not just one object, but the whole complex of buildings at different depths, and what's more interesting they are all interconnected. Although we do not know anything about them, one thing is for sure – the buildings were made by humans. The whole complex of buildings was apparently carefully planned. There are streets, cross roads, a large staircase in the middle of something that resembles a large square.
These underwater facilities cover a big part of the seabed. Judging by recent studies, they stretch from the small island of Yonaguni all the way to Okinawa and its neighboring islands, Kerama and Aguni. That distance is about 300 miles. The largest structure so far discovered is located near the island Yonaguni at 98 feet below sea level. It covers a space s of about 230 feet in length and 100 in width.
Underwater ruins look like the ancient buildings on Okinawa, for example the Nakagusuku castle. The scientists agree that these are probably the remains of some ancient civilization that was flooded or destroyed and that we don’t have any records about its previous existance.
