Kris Kuksi was born on 2 March 1973 in Springfield, Missouri, and he grew up in neighboring Kansas. He spent his childhood isolated in a village where he lived together with his step-father - an alcoholic, with his older brothers, and his mother who worked all the time. All these circumstances have accumulated in the young man's consciousness. His later interest in everything that is unusual reflected on his a dark art. He admires everything that is monstrous and weird. The artist's early works represent a freedom from the negative impact of the environment in which he grew up.

Kris Kuksi is now a recognized, modern artist of fantasy realism. He works in mixed-media technique and thus creating grotesque collages and figures which indicate that man lives in a harsh world where he is only a tiny part of the universe.
The author first prepares a complete picture of the creation, but improvisations and adding certain, necessary details are always welcome.
When you see Chris Kuksi’s creations you get frightened, but his wild, ominous, unpredictable, and yet very luxurious paintings and creations reach the essence of a human being and touch his soul. His works are the author's view of psychological, religious, ideological and aesthetic problems. American Kris Kuksi wants to break the illusions that we create as a result of the fear which is in our consciousness.
The work of this award-winning maestro can be seen at more than 100 exhibitions in museums all over the world.
