Some places in China like Langsan have a system of traditional medicine that modern man is probably scared of. The participants of this "ritual" cut off deer’s horns and collected the blood that runs from them, and then drink it! The horns have a tube-like structure; they are covered with velvety skin, but at the same time full of blood. What is most bizarre is that all this is done while the deer alive! Chinese people from the area say that this is being done to ensure a healthy and strong offspring. Here are some pictures of these extremely bizarre rituals
